Recently my nearly 100yr old Aunt Ngaire (Buster) passed away 4 years after her 96 yr old husband Bill. Unfortunately they were hoarders and had been for many years but in advanced years it just got worse and worse. My cousin and I  were joint executors of the estate and we plus other family members went to Hastings at weekends to undertake the horrific task of clearing out the house. After 6 weeks of coughing, eyes running, breathing problems we just couldn’t handle any more. The house was filthy, mould behind the furniture, one bedroom was completely full of boxes,  bags,  and we think nearly every letter, bill, receipt, card etc., kept for years and years, gathering dust heaped up to a height taller than me. The kitchen was filthy and clothes and odds and ends all through the place, piled up, shoved under other stuff, it was beyond a joke. There was also a double garage/large shed full of rubbish to the extent you could not enter it!!

So in despair we searched for a saviour and Empathy came to our rescue. They cleared everything in the house and garage/shed and sent us photos as they completed each room etc. They also cleared large trees and shrubs to allow easy access and removed every bit of rubbish laying around the whole property. All the furniture and other contents worth saving were sold and the rest disposed of. To say we were thrilled with the job is an understatement, we were ecstatic!!! We did feel sorry for them whilst doing the job though !! The real estate agent who listed the property was also extremely impressed.

I would thoroughly recommend Empathy for a very professional job and their thoughtfulness to the family through this difficult time.
